Zapp Exteriors guarantees that your project has been installed to the highest professional standards. This warranty covers defects in workmanship for the installation services performed at the project location listed below.

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. This warranty is subject to limitations, exclusions, and conditions as detailed in this installation warranty. It covers only work performed by Zapp Exteriors and does not extend to products, materials, or accessories supplied by others.

1. STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS- FIVE (5)-YEAR WARRANTY

All structural components (posts, gutters, louvers, and beams) installed by Zapp Exteriors are warranted for five (5) years from the date of installation. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser’s ownership of the installed property. This warranty only covers defects in installation workmanship. It does not cover damage caused by storms, impact, misuse, neglect, or work performed by any person or contractor other than Zapp Exteriors.

THE LOUVRETEC OPENING ROOF SYSTEM, FOUR SEASONS BUILDING PRODUCT AND OTHER MANUFACTURERS INSTALLED THROUGH ZAPP EXTERIORS is warranted through the manufacturer’s warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty applies to manufacturing defects in the components for residential and commercial applications.

1a. FOR MANUAL SYSTEMS- FIVE (5)-YEAR WARRANTY

The installed components (manual operator and movable components) are warranted for five (5) years from the date of installation.

2. ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS- FIVE (5)-YEAR WARRANTY

Electrical installation performed by Zapp Exteriors is warranted for five (5) years from the installation date. This warranty applies only to Zapp Exteriors’ workmanship. All electrical devices and accessories (motors, lights, fans, heaters, remotes, etc.) carry their respective manufacturer’s warranties. Zapp Exteriors’ warranty remains valid only if:

• Wiring and controls remain protected in weather-rated enclosures in accordance with relevant codes and protected from water and other weather conditions, and subject to operating the motorized opening system to full opening and closing at least twice a month.
• Remote controls and devices are stored in a dry, protected environment.

3. SEALANT – FIVE (5)-YEAR WARRANTY

Zapp Exteriors uses Dow Corning 795 or 791 silicone, or an equivalent product specified by the manufacturer. Sealant workmanship is warranted for five (5) years from installation. This warranty does not cover normal weathering, chalking, fading, or corrosive atmosphere. Dow manufacturer warranties apply separately to the sealant product itself. Please refer to the manufacturer’s warranty wording.

4. POWDERCOAT FINISH – FIVE (5)-YEAR WARRANTY

Cardinal Paint and Tiger Coatings are the standard finish supplied by Zapp Exteriors, unless stated otherwise, and carry a five (5) year film and color integrity warranty from the date of installation. This warranty does not cover normal weathering, chalking, fading, or corrosive atmosphere. If your project has used either Cardinal Paint or Tiger Coatings, please refer to the Cardinal Paint or Tiger Coatings warranty wording.

5. WARRANTY CLAIMS & SERVICE PROCEDURE

Before filing a claim, the client must:

1. Inspect gutters and drainage for blockages or unrelated issues.
2. Verify the problem is related to Zapp Exteriors’ work.

If service is required:

• Do not attempt to alter or repair the installation.
• Email photos and a written description to info@zappexteriors.com.
• Zapp Exteriors will inspect the issue and, if covered, perform necessary repairs within 60 days of inspection.

If inspection determines the issue is unrelated to Zapp Exteriors’ work, repairs may be performed at the client’s expense upon approval.

This warranty is void if:

• The installation is modified or serviced by anyone other than Zapp Exteriors; or
• Damage results from misuse, neglect, impact, storm, or pre-existing structural defects in the home.

6. EXCLUSIONS

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear
• Storm or weather damage; Normal weathering, chalking, fading, corrosive atmosphere contaminated with chemical fumes or salt, or any act of God
• Conditions, malfunctions, or damage resulting from other than defects in material.
• Conditions, malfunctions or damage resulting from normal wear and tear, accidents, or neglect by the homeowner, improper installation, improper maintenance, misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, or alteration.
• Structural movement, leaks, or failures of existing roofs, walls, or foundations
• Accessories, components, or materials not supplied or installed by Zapp Exteriors
• Work affected by pre-existing building issues or aggressive environmental conditions.

7. WARRANTY REGISTRATION

This Warranty shall not be valid or enforceable unless the Warranty is registered with Zapp Exteriors via the Zapp Exteriors website www.zappexteriors.com/warranty within thirty (30) days after completion of the original installation of the product covered hereby. To activate this warranty, the homeowner must email info@zappexteriors.com within 30 days of project completion, including:

• Name, address, and contact information;
• Project address; and
• Copy of final invoice.

8. CLAIM TIMELINE

All claims must be submitted within 30 days of discovering a defect and include proof of purchase. Zapp Exteriors must be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect before any repair is made. Unauthorized repairs or alterations made prior to inspection will void this warranty. After inspection by Zapp Exteriors, Zapp Exteriors shall have sixty (60) days to deliver a repaired or new product(s) to remedy the defective product as follows: During the first (1st) year after installation, Zapp Exteriors has the option to repair, or replace the defective product at NO COST to the customer. From the second (2nd) year through the fifth (5th) year, based on the warranty period for the defective part as defined above, Zapp Exteriors has the option to repair, or replace defective components, but the customer is responsible for shipping charges and all costs for removal and reinstallation of the components. Zapp Exteriors shall not be liable for any incidental, special or consequential damages. The obligations of Zapp Exteriors set forth herein are the sole remedies available whether the claim is for negligence, or breach of warranty.
